Jason A. Stephany, Sanders for Wisconsin
State/Local - Thursday, July 29, 2010

MIDDLETON – Henry Sanders, Democratic candidate for Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor, joined a coalition of advocates in a march for marriage equality Tuesday. The protest and march comes in opposition to the ultra-conservative National Organization for Marriage's (NOM) visit to Madison at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Sanders made history last month as the first statewide candidate to promote full marriage equality for all Wisconsin families.
The event will begin with remarks at Library Mall on the University of Wisconsin campus. Equal rights advocates will conduct a peaceful march along State Street to the State Capitol.
Nonprofit executive, community activist, and small business owner Henry Sanders, Jr. lives with his wife and daughter in Waunakee, WI. Sanders is the founder of Madison Area Growth Network and Propel Wisconsin Innovation – nonprofit organizations dedicated to job growth – and Capacity-360, a small business that connects other small to mid-sized businesses with capital and other resources. Democratic Party leaders and grassroots activists favored Sanders by a 2-to-1 margin in the Democratic Convention poll. His 18-point plan for job creation in Wisconsin, “Progressive Recovery”, can be viewed online at www.henrysanders.org.
